Garvin Timms

Garvin W. Timms, 87, of Chillicothe, formerly of Cambridge, OH, died at 1:55am Monday morning in the Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Private committal services will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. Garvin was born December 25, 1920, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Ross and Elizabeth (Garvin) Timms. On June 14, 1946, he married the former Martha K. Peters, who preceded him in death on January 1, 2008. Surviving are his daughter Cheryl K. Andrews, of Austin, TX; grandchildren Amy (Brian) Earthman; David Scott (Leslie) Andrews; and Todd M. Andrews; great-grandchildren Destiny and Jonah Andrews; and Emilee, Elizabeth, and Evan Earthman. He was predeceased by his brother Ross Timms. Garvin was an industrial engineer with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. He was a member of the Free & Accepted Masons, the Order of the Eastern Star and the IEEE.
