Garrett Leonard Jones, 55, of Chillicothe, left this life for a better one on December 19, 2021.
Garrett was born on March 13, 1966 to Carl L. and Kathryn (Smith) Jones. He was preceded in death by his father Carl on June 2, 2013.
In addition to his mother Kathryn, he is survived by three sisters, Carla (Todd) Wrightsel, and Charmin (Ron) Zambarrano, both of Chillicothe, and Charlotte Jones, of Frankfort; he's also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins; his maternal aunt, Virginia Baird, of Nellie, OH; and best friend, John Copper, of CA.
Garrett was a graduate of Unioto High School, class of 1984. He was an employee of Bob Evans Restaurants in Chillicothe for 31 years where he had many friends. He had a lifelong love of fishing, and playing his guitar. He also loved all animals which he rescued. His favorite animals were his dogs, cats, and goats, which he loved giving them Twizzler candy as treats.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation services are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. Burial will be held at a future date in Roland Memorial Cemetery, where he will be buried with his father and mother when the time comes.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Ross County Humane Society or to the Ross County Wildlife Department in honor of Garrett.
