Gale Mankin

Gale G. Mankin, 80, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on October 20, 2014, at the Adena Regional Medical Center. Gale was born November 12, 1933 in Ross Co. the son of the late Virgil and Irris Payne Mankin. On January 18, 1954 he married Rosemary Kirkendall, who survives. From this marriage four children were born, Deborah and Lee Ann, who preceded him in death; Ronda (Walter) Beck and Michael Mankin, both of Monroe, NC; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Gale served in the US Navy in the early 1950's. He later worked for the appraisal firm, Cole-Layer-Trumble Co., of Dayton, for 25 years and later sold cars in Chillicothe, until he retired in 1996. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home, Marvin Shaw officiating. Cremation will follow. Friends may call 5-7 pm Thursday at Haller's.
