Gail Allen

Gail Wesley Allen, 57, of Chillicothe, passed away at 3:13pm on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at the Berger Hospice Care Center in Circleville, following an extended battle with cancer. He was born October 5, 1958, in Oak Hill, Ohio, to the late Roy Edward Allen and Victoria Delores (Moore) Crabtree. On August 14, 1993, he married Cheryl (Legg) Allen, who survives. Also surviving are their children, Shawn Allen, of Chillicothe, Jessica Bateman-Nutt, and Michael Bateman, both of Columbus; seven grandchildren, Jacob Bateman-Madden, Cameron Madden, Michael Jr. and Michelle Bateman, Wesley Allen, Layla Bateman, and Jordin Bateman; three sisters, Debbie (Dennis) Ramsey, Delores (Steve) Steele, and Joyce (Tony) Murray, all of Chillicothe; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including his canine companion, Zac. In addition to his parents, Gail was preceded in death by his step-mother, Dorothy Allen, and his step-father, Ernest Crabtree. Gail was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing guitar and bowling. Funeral services will be at held at 10:00am on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Mitch Salyers officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 5:00-8:00pm.
