Freeman Daniels

Freeman M. Daniels, 87, of Chillicothe, died at 4:10pm June 1, 2023, at Adena Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

He was born September 29, 1935, in Chillicothe to the late Freeman and Margaret (Musselman) Daniels.  On March 30, 1957, he married the former Ruth E. Hess.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 66 years, Ruth E. Daniels; their children: Gregory Daniels, Barry (Joy) Daniels, and Lisa (Harold) Dempsey; grandchildren: Nikko (Heather) Daniels, Travis Daniels, Destiny (Cole) Payne, and Gage Daniels; great-granddaughter Rayne Daniels; sister Marge (Rick) Wyatt; a special sister-in-law Mary Daniels Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents; and brothers Paul and Clayton "Bud" Daniels.

Freeman retired from the Chillicothe Telephone Co.  He was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps.  He enjoyed vegetable and floral gardening, being outdoors, spending time with his family and caring for his dogs.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm Saturday, June 10, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating.   The family will receive friends from Noon until 1pm Saturday at the funeral home.
