Fred Schwartz

Fred Schwartz, 73, of Chillicothe, died December 22, 2012, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born January 17, 1939 in Bellefontaine, OH to the late Fred and Vera Slavens Schwartz. Survivors include his children, Angie (Eric) Graves, of Chillicothe and William "Buck" Schwartz, of Wellston; his grandchildren, Kayla (Chris) Graves Woodfork, Jacobe Graves, Kristin Schwartz and Allyson Schwartz; his siblings, Linda Love, of Smyrna, TN, Wilma (Ira) Landress, of Winter Springs, FL, and Dick (Sue) Schwartz, of Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Carolyn Gray Schwartz and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Love. Fred was a US Navy veteran. He retired as a police officer and fireman from the City of Chillicothe. He also held many part time positions including working for the Department of Natural Resources, as a car salesman, at Lowes, for the Fawcett-Oliver and Glass Funeral Home and for Haller Funeral Home. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of the Haller Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity in Fred's honor.
