Franklin W. Martin, 77, of Chillicothe, died 4:23 pm, October 31, 2021 at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.
He was born July 31, 1944 in Hallsville, OH to the late Cyle and Otha Imler Martin. On June 19, 1965 he married Marzetta J. Stutler Martin, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Byron Martin and Kendra (Patrick) Sims, of Chillicothe; siblings, Julia Poling, of Chillicothe, Marilyn Price, of Ashville, Glenn Martin, of Tarlton, and Howard Martin, of Danville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two children, Franklin W. Martin Jr., and Shawna L. Martin; and siblings, Betty Archer Brown, Martha Frazier and Lorraine Stephens.
Mr. Martin retired as a Team Leader with General Motors. He was a US Army Vietnam War veteran and enjoyed working on cars, homes and in his yard.
Following cremation, private military graveside services will be conducted in Imler Cemetery, Circleville. Calling hours will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org .
