Frank D. Watkins Jr., 70, of Chillicothe, died 3:37 pm, October 26, 2022, at the Adena Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 1, 1952 in Ross Co. to the late Frank D. and Edna M. Salley Watkins, Sr. On July 17, 1999 he married Beverly D. Skaggs Watkins, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Heather (Billy Alexander) Houser, of Chillicothe, Marcie (Jamie) Nash, Gallipolis, Krista (Terry Wilt) Shiltz, Amber (Zachary) Fitzgerald and Brian (Amber Bowman) Watkins, all of Chillicothe; step- children, Cassie and Shawn Finneran, both of Chillicothe; 17 grandchildren, including Hunter and Jeffrey; numerous great-grandchildren; six siblings, Gary and Thad Watkins, Alice (Lloyd) Gray, Karen Imler, Dorothy (Sonny) Morehouse, and Marsha (Ronnie) Booth; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Morgan Shitlz and Blake Alexander; a step-son, Danny Seymour; and a brother Darrell Watkins.
Mr. Watkins owned and operated Watkins Body Shop and Salvage. He was known for telling funny stories. He enjoyed old toys, old cars and trucks, fishing and formerly raced at the KC Raceway.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 pm Monday at Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Cremation will follow.
