Frank W. Stanley, 91, of Chillicothe, went to be with his Lord May 12, 2007, in his home following a brief illness. He was born November 29, 1915, in Bourneville to the late Ernest and Ina Jane (Stetham) Stanley. On July 5, 1946, he married the former Lucille I. Knutson, who survives. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Pastor Joel Hess officiating under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. Military graveside services conducted by the Ross Co. Veterans Honor Guard will follow in Bainbridge Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8pm at Our Savior Lutheran Church and 1 hour prior to the funeral. Also surviving are his children: Vernon and Colleen Stanley; Marilyn and Hank Rotroff; Frank Stanley; Carol and Danny Burt; Marlene and Ivan Teets; Lowell Stanley; Mary and Frank Malone; Gail and Bob Merrick; and Eileen and James Henderson; 23 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Earl Stanley; a great-grandson Nicholas Malone; 3 brothers and 1 sister. Frank was a retired Captain with the US Army, serving his country for 26 years, and was a decorated WWII Veteran. He also worked as a barber, was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, and a history buff.
