Frank Darryl Kidwell, 68, of Chillicothe, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at Traditions of Chillicothe, following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born November 13, 1942, in Salineville, OH, to the late Frank Benson and Helen Reba (Lucas) Kidwell. On June 5, 1964, he married the former Brenda D. Stephen, who survives. Also surviving are his daughters and sons-in-law, of whom he was very proud, Lisa (Sam) Collier, Pickerington, OH; Megan (Rob) Wooten, Macon, GA; granddaughters, who he loved to spend time with, Layne Collier and Aryn Collier, both of Pickerington; Brynne Wooten and Katie Wooten, both of Macon, GA; his brother and sister-in-law Donald (Becky) Kidwell, Rock Hill, SC; sister-in-law Terry (Gene) Pilling, Weirton, WV; nieces Heather (Dean) Stewart, Weirton, WV; and Erin (Nick) Sohyda, Mt. Lebanon, PA. Mr. Kidwell was a graduate of West Liberty State College and retired as a manager with American Electric Power (AEP) in 2000 following 30 years of service. He served his country in the US Navy from 1960 until 1963. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Circleville and a member of the Chillicothe Noon Rotary. He loved golfing and fishing but especially enjoyed being with his family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Saturday, June 18, in the Haller Funeral Home with minister Jack Abels officiating. Graveside services will be held at 12:30pm Sunday in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton, WV. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Haller Funeral Home.
