Frances Kerns

Frances G. Kerns, 90, of Chillicothe, passed away March 12, 2009, in Heartland of Chillicothe. She was born June 4, 1918, in Riverhead, NY, to the late John M. and Kathleen F. Ensko Snow. She married Hoyt Tootle in 1942, who was killed in WWII in 1944. Surviving are her nieces Barbara Melchert, Ann Snow and Kay Triplett; nephew J. Robert (Belva) Snow II; several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother J. Robert Snow; a sister Norma Jean Hoffman; nephew Tim Snow; niece Susan Mitchell; and a great-nephew Steve Melchert. Frances graduated from the former St. Mary High School in Chillicothe, Class of 1935. She retired from the Ross Co. Auditor's office in 1978 where she worked as the Deputy Auditor. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Monday, March 16, in the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Norman officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Garden. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at Haller Funeral Home.
