Floyd Francis

F. Gary Francis F. Gary Francis, 67, of Chillicothe, went to be with his Lord March 4, 2009, following an extended illness. He was born June 3, 1941 in Chillicothe, OH to Floyd Wilson and Helen Margaret Young Francis. On May 10, 1963 he married Mary Lou Creachbaum, who survives. Also surviving are his three children, Lee Ann (Dan) Webb, of Newark, OH, Jeffrey A. and Pastor Mark (Chelsy) Francis, of Chillicothe; four grandchildren, Kacy and Holly Hammond, and Ashton and Carson Francis; two step-grandchildren, Nori (Kevin) Hampton and Mandy (Eric) Farber; three step-great-grandchildren, Luke and Drew Hampton and Delaney Farber; and a brother Paul (Lani) Francis, of Chillicothe. He was preceded in death by his parents and a half sister, Carol Immell. Mr. Francis retired from Kenworth Truck Company in 2008. He was a special deputy with the Ross Co. Sheriff's Department. He was a long time assistant to the Zane Trace Basketball and Football programs and a member of the First Wesleyan Church. He enjoyed the Ross Co. Fair and was an avid race fan. A celebration of his life will be held 11:00 am Monday in the First Wesleyan Church, Rev. Fred Fox and his son Pastor Mark officiating. Friends may call 2-5 pm Sunday at the Haller Funeral Home, or one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Adena Health Foundation, Friends of Hospice, 111 W. Water St., Chillicothe.
