Flossie Brown

F. Opal Brown, 104, of Chillicothe, died 1:40 am, Monday, October 22, 2012, at Heartland of Chillicothe, following a brief illness. She was born August 22, 1908 in Ross Co. to the late Charles and Clara Wipert Ford. On June 30, 1928 she married Jesse Brown, who died in 1989. Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Haskins, of Chillicothe; a son, Roy (Dottie) Brown, of Granville; 9 grandchildren, Becky (Mark) Ewing, Matthew Bonner, Theresa (Jeff) Cutlip, Laura (Paul) Thimons, Joseph (Toni) Bonner, Mark (Brenda) Brown, Greig (Robin) Brown, Kirk (Rebecca) Brown, and Scot Brown; several great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Robert Bonner; a brother, Roy Ford; and a sister, Dorothy Johnson. Mrs. Brown was a member of Chillicothe Baptist Church and a homemaker. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery. Friends may call 12-1 pm Thursday at Haller's.
