Fay Rossman

Fay Ida Rossman, 82, of Chillicothe, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at 3:30am Saturday, June 18, 2011, at her home following a long battle with cancer. She was born August 24, 1928, in Penns Grove, New Jersey, to the late Frank M. and Mary Wilhelmina Leuallan Raine. She was a graduate of Regional High School, Penns Grove, NJ, Class of 1947. She attended the Philadelphia (PA) Biblical University for two years. It was there she met her husband, Donald W. Rossman. They were united in marriage June 10, 1950, in the First Baptist Church of Penns Grove, by the Rev. Dr. Randall L. Rossman, D.D. In addition to her husband, she is survived by their four children: Dona Sundaresan, of Gahanna, OH; Kathi (Kevin) Taylor, of Carlisle, OH; Randall (Debra) Rossman, Chillicothe; Ruth (Emory) Clark, Washington Court House, OH; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters: Francis Robinson and Gladys Williamson; and a brother Frank M. Raine, Jr. She retired from the Chillicothe City Schools where she worked in Food Services. Following retirement, she worked at the Circleville office of H & R Block during tax season. She was a member of Tyler Memorial United Methodist Church, the Mary-Martha Circle of the United Methodist Women and the Chillicothe Chapter #419 Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a volunteer at the Adena Regional Medical Center. Services for Mrs. Rossman will be held at the Tyler Memorial United Methodist Church, corner of Mill and Church Streets, Chillicothe, at 11:00am Tuesday, June 21, with Pastor Rick Birk officiating. Burial will follow at Crouse Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the church for 2 hours prior to the service. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to Adena Hospice Services, 111 W. Water St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
