Fay Perry

November 18, 1949 — December 8, 2024

Fay Ann Perry, 75, of Chillicothe, passed away peacefully December 8, 2024 at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness.

Born on November 18, 1949, in Chillicothe, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Gaskill) Welsheimer.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Bridget (John Ritchhart) Kashner, and Stacy (Tracy Hickman) Perry; her cherished grandchildren, Nicole and Jacob Kashner; along with four additional beloved grandchildren; along with numerous extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert "Bobby" Welsheimer.

A proud graduate of Chillicothe High School, class of 1967, Fay went on to become the owner and operator of the Owl Tavern in Chillicothe, a family establishment she maintained for several generations. Fay was a familiar face in the community, known for kindness and compassion. She delighted in spending time with her patrons, sharing conversations with regulars, and helping those in need.

Fay dedicated much of her life to assisting others. Whether offering rides to appointments or helping her patrons navigate life's challenges, she was always a source of guidance and support. She was a tremendously strong person, both in body and spirit. It was her strength and resilience that allowed her to persevere through the many difficult times of her life, serving as an inspiration to all who knew her. After selling the tavern and retiring, she found immense joy in spending time with her family. Fay loved playing cards with her daughter, going on scenic car rides, and cherishing moments with her grandchildren.

In keeping with her wishes, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at St. Peter Catholic Church. Cremation services will then be performed following mass, and burial will be held in St. Margaret Cemetery at a later date.

Fay's family and friends will remember her as a caring and selfless soul who enriched the lives of everyone she met.
