Faris P. Thompson Faris P. Thompson, 81, of Chillicothe, OH died 6:55 pm in the Adena Regional Medical Center, following an extended illness. He was born November 19, 1925 on the family farm in Mutual, OK to Charles F. and Alta M. Pearce Thompson. On August 20, 1947 he married Ramona Arrington, who survives. Also surviving are his three children, James F. (Nelda) Thompson, and Troy L. (Sherry) Thompson, both of Chillicothe and Richard E. (Juanita) Thompson, of Columbus, GA; his two grandchildren, Molly Toth-Thompson and Emily Thompson; his adopted sisters, Eula Phillips, Ruth Clem, Avis Duncan and Irma Woods; and a host of friends at Hopeton Village and in Woodward, OK. He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris L. Burns. Mr. Thompson was a World War II Navy Veteran. He was farmer and a machinist having worked for Cessna Aircraft, Boeing, Fenmore Manufacturing and Western Farmers Electric, where he retired in 1989. He was a member of the Lincoln Baptist Church in Woodward, OK. A memorial service will be held in Hopeton Village, 6:30 pm Tuesday. Graveside services will be held in Elmwood Cemetery, Woodward, OK, at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Haller Funeral Home.
