Evelyn Shreve

Evelyn Jane "Duckie" Shreve, 88, of Chillicothe, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, January 10, 2023 at her home, following an extended illness.

She was born September 17, 1934, in Lancaster, Ohio, daughter of the late Daniel Lester and Mary Izle (Shumaker) Graham. On August 4, 1956 she married her beloved husband, Paul Lee Shreve, who preceded her in death on July 28, 2021.

Surviving is their daughter and son-in-law, Vicki Rae (Robert, Jr.) Snyder, of Londonderry; grandchildren, Denver E. Snyder Chillicothe, Logan M. Snyder and Kirra B. Snyder, both of Londonderry; great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Evelyn Ann Campbell, Londonderry, and Oakley Mathias Snyder, Chillicothe; her brother, David Franklin (Lona) Graham, of Logan; and her sister-in-law, Wanda Graham. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Francis (Vernard) Leach, Hazel Ann (Dorsey) Williams, and Daniel Lester Graham, Jr.

Evelyn was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Chillicothe where she held the position of treasurer for several years. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking when she was able, working puzzles, and watching her birds from the window. But most of all, she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Danielle Evans for all of her love and care throughout Evelyn's illness.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, January 16, 2023 at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Mitch Salyers officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation from Noon until the time of the service on Monday.
