Evelyn Hawk

Evelyn E. Hawk, 74, of Chillicothe, died 4:20 pm, May 16, 2012 at Chillicothe Nursing and Rehabilitation, following an extended illness. She was born November 5, 1937 in Ross Co. to William P. and Gladys E. Thrap Petit. On November 9, 1953 she married Kenneth E. Hawk, who survives. Also surviving are her children, Vicki (Ron) Palmer, of Kingston, Kenneth (Kathy) Hawk and John (Carmen) Hawk, both of Chillicothe; five grandchildren, Joie Smith, Tonya, Kenneth, Kelli and Tiffany Hawk; ten grandchildren, Payton, Eve, Austin, Aalia, Ashton, Jerod, Kaitlin, Sierra, Brandon and Chase; a sister, Wanda Sheets; and a brother, William Petit. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Felecia Smith. Mrs. Hawk was a former nursing assistant. She was a member of the Moose and Eagles, and enjoyed painting, crocheting, and most especially watching her grandchildren. The family wishes to extend thanks to the staff of Chillicothe Nursing and Rehabilitation for their care. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday at the Haller Funeral Home.
