Eugene "Gene" Frasure passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Gene was born in Teaberry, Kentucky to the Lee O. and Draxie (Hamilton) Frasure on October 26, 1942 and married Judy Blakeman on September 12, 1977.
He is survived by his Children,
Betsy Bray, Joanne Mace, Thomas McVey, Shelly Johnson, his Grandchildren, Christopher Bray, Ashley VanHoose, Dustin Mace ,Chase Chaney, Colt Chaney, Britley McComis
, and 16 Great-Grandchildren, his Siblings,
Lee O. Frasure Jr., Chris (John) Scott, Arlene Davis, and by his special friends Duke and Peanut, Mark Thompson, and Mike Detty, and his many Nieces, Nephews, other family and friends.

his 4 Brothers: Virgil Frasure, PFC Hurshel Frasure, Marcelous Frasure, Paul Frasure, and his 5 Sisters: Zella Thompson, Arizona Thomspon, Barbara Frasure, Stella Hamilton, Ethel Friend, Brothers-in-law, Paul Thompson, Glen Friend, Wayne Davis, Dennis Hamilton, Francis Thompson, and Sisters-in-law, Vicki Frasure, and Juanita Frasure, and special friend Steve Henderson.
He spent 6 years in the Army Reserve, was a founding member of the Twin Township Volunteer Fire Department where he served for 32 years with 25 of those being the captain. Gene served 28 years as a Twin Township Trustee. He also was a member of American Legion Post 14, Ross County Sportsmen and Wildlife Association, he spent 56 as a member of the Paint Valley Football chaingang, never missing a game, was an avid turtle hunter and was known to many as the Twin Township Turtleman.
In keeping with Gene's wishes cremation has taken place and a Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 20
th
, 2024 at 1:00pm at Twin Township Cemetery.
