Esther Gibson

Esther M. Gibson Esther Mae Gibson, 84, of Chillicothe, died 6:19 am Friday, April 21, 2006 in the Adena Regional Medical Center unexpectedly. She was born November 22, 1921 in Portsmouth, OH to James A and Grace Jordan DeAmicis. On June 10, 1947 she married Fred Gibson, who died March 20, 2005. Survivors include two sons, Michael (Carolyn) Gibson, of Chillicothe and William (Luanne) Gibson, of Bozeman, MT; three grandchildren, Bryan, Jason, and Shayna Gibson; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Teresa (Mick) Cooney; and a brother-in-law, Joseph Brochetti. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ralph and William; a sister, Betty Ann, and two infant siblings. Mrs. Gibson retired in 1987 as an RN from the VA Medical Center. She served as an Army nurse for two years. She was an avid bingo player and a member of the Mercy Nursing School Alumni Association. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00 pm Tuesday, in St. Peter Catholic Church, Rev. David Young, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Garden. Friends may call 5-8 pm Monday in the Haller Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 8:00 pm.
