Ernest White

Ernest A. White, 87, affectionately known as "Ernie" or "Jim," died at 1:11am March 27, 2023, at his residence following a brief illness.   He was born November 30, 1935, in Columbus, OH, to the late Louis J. and Erma (Bordner) White.  On February 12, 1955, he married the former Mary C. Thibaut, who preceded him in death on September 11, 2009.   Surviving are their children: Molly (Robert) Davis, Mike (Tina) White, Lawrence (Lisa) White, Mark White, Patty (Kyle) Wonderleigh, Joe (Teresa) White, Jimmy (Angie) White, Linda Overly, Mary Ann (Brent) Tyo, and John (Kellye) White; grandchildren: Chrissy, Kara, Corey (Kristen), Lauren (Justin), Megan (Kevin), Marisa (Matt), Michaela (Sam), Josh (Maria), Jordie (Cassie), CJ (Abby), Jamie (Jarret), Kayla (Matt), Casey, Halle (Ethan), Joseph (Brooke), Brandon (Jamie), Katelyn, Sarah, Lucas, Austin "Bug," Garrett and Grayson; step-children: Tammy Simkins and Rob (Nicole) Davis; several great- grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law Barbara White, and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a granddaughter Courtney Wonderleigh and siblings: Buddy, Kathlene, Delores, Phyllis, David, and Glenn.   Ernie retired from the Mead Paper Co.  He also worked as a custodian for the former St. Mary School, Bishop Flaget School, and had worked at The Dock at Water.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially attending his grandkids sporting events.   Private services will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Margaret Cemetery.  Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life beginning at 1pm Thursday, March 30, at The Dock at Water.    Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home & Crematory.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his honor to Bishop Flaget School, 570 Parsons Ave., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
