Emma Shoemaker

Emma J. Shoemaker, 87, died at 12:28pm on August 28, 2017, at her residence following a brief illness.   She was born August 9, 1930, in Chillicothe, to the late George J. and Amelia E. (Ludmann) Stimmer. On June 12, 1949, she married Wesley R. Shoemaker, who preceded her in death on October 4, 2008.   She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Terry (Carolyn) Shoemaker, of South Carolina; and Mark (Nancy) Shoemaker, of Chillicothe; granddaughter Jennifer (Alan) Todd, of North Carolina; great-granddaughters Ava and Amelia Todd; a sister-in-law Betty Stimmer, of Chillicothe; and many dear friends whom were close to her heart. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a grandson Matthew Shoemaker, brothers John and Dave Stimmer, and a sister Becky Strutt.   Emma had worked for the Ross County Auditor and then the Paint Valley Mental Health Center from where she retired. She attended Grace Fellowship and was involved with the co-ed program through the Ross Co. Senior Citizens.
