Emma Medert

Emma C. Medert, 91, of Chillicothe, died 6:45 pm, February 19, 2011 at Westmoreland Place Nursing Home, following an extended illness. She was born August 17, 1919 in Chillicothe, OH to Henry and Emma C. Knapp Medert. She is survived by several caring relatives, including two nieces; several great nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Anna and a brother Henry J. Medert. Emma retired after 40 years of service from the US Shoe Corporation. She was a very active, lifelong member of St. Peter Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 3:30 pm Friday at St. Peter Church, Rev. William Hahn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call 5-7 pm Thursday at the Haller Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 7:00 pm.
