Ellen E. Day, 57, of Chillicothe, died 7:50 pm, Tuesday, September 19, 2006 in her home. She was born March 19, 1949 in Dayton, OH to J. Neal and Emma Mae Stebbins Barber. On May 29, 1971 she married Stephen Michael Day, who survives. In addition to her husband, survivors include her father, J. Neal Barber, of Mansfield, OH; sons and daughters-in-law, Ryan (Beth) Day, of Washington CH and Andrew (Heather) Day, of Chillicothe; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon (Nathanael) Litter, of Caldwell, ID; a sister and brother-in-law, Katie (John) Cunningham, of Goshen, IN: a brother and sister-in-law, Tom (Alayne) Barber, of Providence, UT; brothers-in-law, Tom (Nancy) Day and Jim (Terri) Day, both of Chillicothe; and ten nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother. Ellen was a 1967 graduate of Malabar High School in Mansfield, OH, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Muskingham College in 1971. Ellen worked for the Adena School System as a Literacy Coach. She was also a Mary Kay consultant. She was a member of Open Door Church, where funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, Pastors Ed Wright and Mark Pfiefer officiating. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery.
