Elizabeth Sipe

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann (Hubble) Sipe passed away peacefully in her home on May 21, 2024, in Chillicothe, OH at the age of 72.



Elizabeth was born on February 17, 1952, in Nelsonville, OH to the parents of Harley Joe and Margaret (Stedwill) Hubble. She graduated high school from Nelsonville York and later attended Hocking College and obtained an associate degree in nursing. She held many positions throughout her nursing career including working at Wright Patterson Airforce Base and the Chillicothe Veterans Administration Medical Center before finishing out her career at the Scioto Paint Valley Mental Health Center in Chillicothe. Elizabeth married Edward Sipe in 1978 and together they lived in Frankfort, OH. In 1983, they moved to Chillicothe and welcomed their daughter, Jessica, later that year.



Elizabeth is remembered as being a kind, compassionate, and patient person who touched the lives of everyone she met. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.  Elizabeth was a woman of God and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crafting such as ceramics and sewing.



Elizabeth is survived by her husband Edward Sipe, her daughter Jessica (Tristan) Sipe-Chrisman, and two grandchildren Molly Guerin Sipe and Madelyn Chrisman. She is also survived by her two younger siblings Mary "Meg" Shingler and Joseph (Cheryl) Hubble as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents Harley Joe and Margaret Hubble and younger sister Sarah (Dan) Frazier.



In honoring Elizabeth's wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services. Private graveside services will be held at a future date and time for family. In lieu of flowers, friends and family are welcome to honor the life of Elizabeth by making donations to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society (Donate Now - National MS Society). The family would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the hospital staff at Adena Regional Medical Center, the healthcare staff at Signature HealthCARE, the hospice staff of National Church Residence, and the funeral staff at Haller Funeral Home.
