Elizabeth Pauline "Paula" Elliott Romans, 55, of Bainbridge, passed away December 27, 2017 after a resolute and lengthy battle with cancer. She was born November 3, 1962 to Wilbur "Gene" and Elizabeth "Betty" Hendrick Elliott, and spent her formative years in Frankfort, OH, graduating from Adena High School in 1980. She married Billy Romans April 12, 1985, with whom she had four children. Paula had seven grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly. She is survived by her father; husband; children, Josh (Nicki) Romans, Amanda (Steven) Tolle, and Ashley Romans, all of Bainbridge; siblings Pam (Chris) Givens, Frankfort, Terry Sams, Chillicothe, and Scott (Nancy) Elliott, Kingston; her mother and father-in-law, Freddie and Joyce Romans; and a sister-in-law, Robin Gray, all of Madison, IN. She is preceded in death by her son Nicholas, who died at the age of 3, as her mother and her grandparents, Wilbur and Pauline Elliott and Thomas and Eveline Hendrick. Paula worked as a receptionist at Whited Seigneur Sams & Rahe CPAs in Chillicothe, OH, where she earned a reputation as a perpetually kind, cheerful person with an infectious sense of humor and a readiness to laugh, especially at herself. Throughout her illness, Paula's unwavering optimism and selflessness made her an inspiration to everyone around her, including her doctors. With a lightness of spirit and an ardent devotion to family, Paula was a remarkable wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be sorely missed. Funeral services will be held on 1:00 pm Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery.
