Elizabeth Jones
September 1, 1934 — January 21, 2024
In loving memory of Elizabeth Jones, a vibrant and joyful soul, who peacefully departed her earthly journey at the age of 89 on January 21, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born to Charles and Myrtle (Smith) Hill, Elizabeth's life was full of laughs and love. She joined her husband, Chester C. Jones, in eternal rest, preceded by 7 brothers, 6 sisters, and her son Michael Pritchard.
Elizabeth leaves behind a legacy of love embraced by her children: Charlmel (Carvel) Simmons, Charles Pritchard, Melvin (Brenda) Pritchard, and Mary (Phil) Doxie. Her adoring grandchildren, Tamara, Amy, Brandi, Manika, Chauncei, Joy, Beth, Tashyanna, and Shamar, along with 15 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren, continue to carry her warmth. She had a host of nieces and nephews and a special niece Linda Williams. Special Sister-in laws, Charlotte Hill, Naomi Hill and Yvonne Swingle.
In her career in the food industry, Elizabeth found joy in preparing and serving meals, and her caring spirit extended to being a dedicated caregiver. A beacon of fun and boundless energy, she delighted in playfully wrestling with her grandchildren, creating cherished memories that will live on.
Elizabeth was a devoted member of Eden Baptist Church and later Second Baptist Church of Circleville, where her faith shone brightly until her illness. Her commitment to these spiritual communities added a profound layer to her vibrant life, and she remained a faithful member, finding solace and strength in her faith until her health journey unfolded.
Heartfelt gratitude is extended to all caregivers, especially Heartland Hospice, who provided unwavering support. Elizabeth's departure leaves a void, but her legacy of love and laughter will forever be etched in our hearts. She will be greatly missed by all who were touched by her radiance.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm Saturday, January 27, at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Milton J. Dean, Sr. officiating. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Eden Baptist Church, 2019 Nipgen Rd., Waverly, OH 45690.
