Elizabeth Bowling

Elizabeth Jo Bowling, 85, of Chillicothe, died at 1:15 am January 15, 2022, at her residence following an extended illness.   She was born August 6, 1936, in Richmond, KY, to the late Johnie and Minnie F. (Daily) Warren.  On December 18, 1953, she married Estill Bowling, who preceded her in death September 22, 2006.   She is survived by her children: Judy Wells, Tammy (Steven) Ward, Larry Dean (Ginger) Bowling, Michael Bowling, and Amy Jo (Ken) Hawkins, all of Chillicothe; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; a sister-in-law Linda Lou Sizemore; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sisters Opal Smith and Kathleen Thornton; and brothers Orville and Dalmas Warren.   Elizabeth Jo was a member of Mt. Tabor Church and a member of the Mt. Tabor Ladies Missionary, where she served as Secretary.  The family would like to give special thanks to her caregivers Kelly and Madison, the staff of Heartland Hospice, and her special friend Kim Cook.    Her funeral service will be held at 2 pm Friday, January 21, at the Mt. Tabor Church with Pastor Rick Hartley officiating.  Burial will follow in Huntington Memorial Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday from 12-2 pm at the church.  The family respectfully requests that those in attendance wear facial masks while indoors.   In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to: Mt.
