Elizabeth Ball

Elizabeth J. Ball, 52, of Londonderry, went to be with the Lord at 1:25pm Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) Hospice Center, Portsmouth, following an extended illness. She was born December 10, 1961, in Chillicothe to Ovid O. and Naomi H. (Hammond) Woods. On May 27, 1988, she married Jaye M. Ball, who survives. Also surviving are her daughters and son-in-law Megan & Matt Bush, Chillicothe; Lacey Ball, Columbus; Danielle and Rachel Ball, both of Londonderry; her mother Naomi Woods, Chillicothe; granddaughters Lily Ball and Ally Bush; her sister and brother-in-law Gloria Jean & Scott Daily, all of Chillicothe; and her father-in-law Michael Ball, Frankfort. Liz was predeceased by her father Ovid; and her mother-in-law Beverly Brown. Liz was a graduate of Southeastern High School, Class of 1980. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church. She loved spending time supporting and watching her daughters in their sports. In keeping with Liz's wishes, a private funeral service and burial at Caldwell Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of HALLER FUNERAL HOME with Rev. J. Troy Gray officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to SOMC Hospice, 2201 25th Street, Portsmouth, OH 45662.
