Eleanor Ragland

Eleanor Iris Ragland, 88, of Chillicothe, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at 4:00pm in Grant Medical Center, Columbus. She was born July 11, 1917, to the late Floyd H. and Clara M. (Winfield) Hitchens. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Ken Ragland, and her sisters Bernice, Glenna, and Delores. Surviving are their seven children: Joan Wall, Donald (Maria) Ragland, Mary (Peachie) Holman, Sharon (Mike) Rivers, Kay Ragland, Stephen (Terri) Ragland, Timothy (Sandra) Ragland; 18 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; sisters Irene Riddle, Barbara Gill, Marilyn Adams, Constance Scott; a brother Floyd Hitchens, and many nieces and nephews. Eleanor was a member of Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church. She loved her flowers. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Monday, June 12, at the Haller Funeral Home with Bishop Melvin Maughmer officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 11-1pm Monday at Haller Funeral Home.
