Eleanor Ames

Eleanor L. Ames Eleanor L. Ames, 93, of Chillicothe, passed away 12:55 pm, Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at the Adena Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness. Graveside funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family in Massillon City Cemetery, Massillon, OH. Friends may call 2-4 pm Sunday at the Haller Funeral Home. She was born February 21, 1915 in Massillon, OH to the late Elmer and Nettie Fothergill Pattinson. In 1943 she married Orrin K. Ames, who died in 1966. Survivors include her sons, Keith (Nancy) Ames, of Chillicothe and Orrin K. (Donna) Ames III, of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Maureen (Mike) Allison, of Mason, OH, Justine (Jesse) Fyffe, of Springfield, OH, Matt Ames, of Chillicothe, Johnathon and David Ames of Mobile, Jeff Ames of Napa, CA, Kristen (Rick) Melton, of Memphis, TN and great-grandchildren Hannah and Sarah Cate Melton, of Memphis. She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen, three sisters, Miriam French, Marjorie Snyder, and Elvira Sorg; and a brother, Thomas Pattinson.
