Eileen F. Boyle, 83, of Chillicothe, died 7:30 am, Sunday, February 27, 2011, at her home, after a long battle with cancer. She was born August 17, 1927 in Summit Hill, PA to John F. and Margaret Boyle Breslin. On June 20, 1953 she married Dr. Emmett T. Boyle, Sr., who died August 18, 1997. Survivors include 3 sons, Dr. John (Patricia) Boyle, of Chillicothe, Dr. Emmett (Patricia) Boyle, of Toledo, and Michael (Rebecca) Boyle, of Chillicothe; a daughter, Joan Boyle, of Chillicothe; eight grandchildren, Michelle, Timothy, Michael, Daniel, Kathryn (Dustin), Colleen, Sean and Eamon; a great-grandchild, Sierra Cydrus; a brother, John (Beth) Breslin, of Dunmore, PA, a sister, Margaret Fraga, of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil; a special care giver, Ettina Pepin; and special friends, Ettiene, Cathy and Roger Pepin, Peg Whalen, Pat Reed, and Jane Ragland. She was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew Breslin; and a special friend, Julia "Speedy" Dunlap. Eileen retired from St. Mary School, following 18 years of service as a librarian. She was an avid reader, a superior bridge player, and loved to travel. She had a true zest for life, was an avid Philadelphia Flyers Hockey fan, and most of all, she enjoyed time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Boyle was a member of St. Mary Church, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am, Thursday, March 3, 2011, Rev. Lawrence Hummer, Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Margaret Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 8:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, St. Mary Church, 61 S. Paint St., Chillicothe, OH 45601, or the Adena Health Foundation, Friends of Hospice, 111 W. Water St., Chillicothe, OH 45601.
