Effie Gamble

Effie E. "Beth" Gamble, 66, of Columbus, went to be with her Lord 8:50 am, January 8, 2011 at the Mt. Carmel Medical Center, following an extended illness. She was born December 24, 1944 in Louisa, KY to Edward E. and Norma E. Skaggs Greene. Survivors include her son, Timothy Lintner, of South Carolina; two granddaughters, Kylie and Emily Lintner; her former husband, Richard Gamble, of Palm Springs, CA; two brothers, Donald E. Greene, of Londonderry and David K. (Judy) Greene, of Chillicothe; a sister-in-law, Jackie Greene, of Columbus; and nephews, Paul and Keith Greene. She was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Lewis and a niece, Alice Greene. Beth was a member of Good Shepherd Community Church, Columbus, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She worked for the Mt. Carmel Health System. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at the HALLER FUNERAL HOME, Rev. Steven Snider officiating. Burial will follow in Londonderry Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Tuesday at Haller's.
