Edna Hinty

Edna C. Hinty, 54, of Chillicothe, died unexpectedly at 11:19 am, Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at her residence. She was born June 27, 1961 in Dayton, OH to the late Herman Barker and Lillian Hankey Barker. On February 17, 1990 she married Larry M. Hinty, who survives. In addition to her husband and mother, survivors include two children, Nicole Barker, and Michael Hinty, of Chillicothe; four grandchildren, Erica Lancaster, Josephine Chidester, Emily Barker and Lynni Althouse; a sister, Sharon McGlone, Owingsville, KY; and several sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Sherman Barker. Edna loved sewing and reading. Her favorite author was Dean Koontz. She enjoyed crafts and helping her husband with woodworking. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will not be observed. Memorial contributions may be made to Haller Funeral Home, 1661 Western Avenue, Chillicothe, OH 45601, to help with final expenses.
