Edna Burton

Edna S. Burton, 89, of Chillicothe, died at 12:10pm Sunday, October 30, 2011, in Heartland of Chillicothe. She was born October 16, 1922, in Frankfort, OH, to the late Daniel and Martha Manns Stewart. She was the widow of William H. "John" Burton, who preceded her in death in 1992. Surviving are her granddaughters Julie (Jim) Mowery; and Penny Andrews; great-grandchildren: Brandi Sanders; Ryan Mowery; and Michael Mowery; great-great-grandchild Ryot Sanders; her son-in-law Perry Andrews; a sister June Haubeil and nieces and nephews Daniel (Tracy) Haubeil; and Joanna (M. David) Smith, all of Chillicothe. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Wanda Andrews and brothers Buddy and Bobby Stewart. Mrs. Burton retired from working for the Chillicothe City Schools and was the co-owner of the former Burton Grocery in Massieville. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, November 2, in Greenlawn Cemetery with Pastor Willard McCray officiating. At her request, calling hours will not be observed. Arrangements are under the direction of Haller Funeral Home.
