Edna Brust

Edna C. Brust, 89, of Chillicothe, died 7:15 am, August 8, 2007, in Westmoreland Place Nursing Home, following an extended illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 am, Saturday, August 11, 2007 in St. Mary Church, Rev. Richard Engle, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 pm Friday in the Haller Funeral Home, where a wake service will be held at 8:00 pm. She was born August 9, 1917 in Chillicothe to Edward Francis and Anna Elizabeth Griesheimer Juenger. On July 5, 1942 she married Willard Fredrick Brust, who died July 27, 1972. Survivors include two sisters, Barbara E. Graves, of Chillicothe and Frances R. (Wilbur) Greenlee, of Circleville; several cousins, nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Luann Woods, of Chillicothe; and a special friend and caregiver, June Ellifritt. She was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Woods; two brothers, Edward and Robert Juenger; and a special great-nephew. Mrs. Brust and her husband owned and operated the Douglas Ave. Farm Market. She later went to work for the US Shoe Corp., Newberry's, and retired from Elder-Beerman's. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, a member of the Delta Sigma Kappa Sorority, a member of UCT, the K of C Auxiliary, the Ross Co. Farm Bureau, The Retired Enlisted Association, and was a volunteer at the Adena Regional Medical Center and served over 65 years as an Election Officer with the Ross Co. Board of Elections.
