Edith Sewards

Edith E. Sewards, 92, of Chillicothe, went to be with her Lord and Heavenly Father after 92 blessed years, February 1, 2019 at Westmoreland Place Nursing Home.
She was born August 7, 1926 in Ross Co. to the late Enoch and Gladys Netter Scales.  On October 31, 1949 she married Robert I. Sewards, who died June 30, 2012, having shared 62 years of marriage.  Survivors include her children, Randy, Benjamin, Dennis, and Monica Sewards, and Tecoyit and Helen Scales; nine special grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Helen Saunders; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, and a son, Timothy Sewards.
Mrs. Sewards was a very active member of The Original Glorious Church of God.  She loved to travel with the church, cooking, and sewing.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday at the Original Glorious Church of God, Bishop Melvin Maughmer officiating.  Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.  Friends may call 11-1:00 Wednesday at the church, prior to the funeral service.
