Edith Degarmo

Edith Lucky DeGarmo, 93, of Chillicothe, passed away May 21, 2012, in Traditions of Chillicothe. She was born February 16, 1919, in Ross County to the late Grover Cleveland and Ruby Rich Hafler. On November 10, 1940, she married Julius DeGarmo, who preceded her in death in 2006. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law Bruce Timothy and Janet DeGarmo, Kingston, OH; Bryan A. DeGarmo and his special friend Debbie Stout; daughters Gloria J. Ault and her special friend Gordon Bauer; Teresa A. DeGarmo-Bales, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Molly Beth Ault, Greenwood, IN; and Harrison Lee DeGarmo, Chillicothe; great-grandchildren: Skyler Marie DeGarmo and Quinten DeGarmo; nieces Annette Immell, Denise (Bernard) Schumann, Annelle (Dave) Wilterding, Squaw Valley, CA; Marilyn Sue (Mike) Henschell, Tucson, AZ. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers Edward Hafler, Robert Hafler, Howard Hafler and a sister-in-law Jean Carrere. At her request, private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Floral Hills Memory Gardens under the direction of Haller Funeral Home. Calling hours will not be observed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ross Co. Humane Society, 2308A Lick Run Rd., Chillicothe.
