Eddie W. Watters, 81, died at 4:20am Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Adena Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was born July 7, 1933, in Pike County to the late Ernest and Dorothy (McQuay) Watters. On January 13, 1953, he married the former Shelbie Jean Blake, who survives. Also surviving are their daughter and son-in-law Debi (Gary) Hickman, Chillicothe; sons and daughters-in-law Brian (Jane) Watters, of Lebanon, OH; and Eric (Lasetta) Watters, Chillicothe; 5 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; and a brother Dixie Watters, of Circleville. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother William "Bill" Watters; and a sister Marjorie Sams. Eddie was a jack of all trades that could do or fix most anything, he worked as a mechanic and especially liked gardening and farming. He was also an animal lover. Eddie served his country in the US Army. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, July 30, at the Haller Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Rolsten officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 10-11am Wednesday at the Haller Funeral Home.
