Earlene Tyler, 65, of Chillicothe, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on December 10, 2025, following an extended illness. She was born on January 30, 1960, to the late Louis and Julia Mae (Jones) Tyler.
She is survived by her two loving children, Erik and Sherre Tyler; Special companion of 28 years, Dwayne Hoosier; grandchildren, Tre’von and Jadarian Tyler, and Maeleigh Seward; siblings, Diane (John) Shannon, Linda Woodfork, Brenda (Jeffrey) Williams, Genevieve Harlan, Louie Woodfork, Evon Harding, Pierre Tyler, and Lois Tyler; as well as many special friends and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by sisters, Sherrie Moody and Kathryn Lyons; brothers-in-law, Danny Woodfork, Steven Lyons; niece Unique Tyler; nephew, Shawn Woodfork; and special friend, Ellen Tanner.
Earlene loved to cook, but she especially loved to cook fried chicken, bacon, and eggs, those three things were a household staple. She loved to watch Family Feud, or as she liked to call it, “Steve Harvey”, it was by far her favorite show. Sitting on her porch and eating potato chips was one thing she enjoyed doing, even if it was cold outside. Even though Earlene had a favorite show to watch or loved sitting on her front porch, spending time with her beloved family was the most important thing to her.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 1:00pm at Glorious Church of God, 123 W. Main St. Chillicothe, OH 45601, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00am until the time of service.
