Earl Nichols

Earl E. Nichols, 69, of Chillicothe, went to be with the Lord at 11:30pm Friday, November 30, 2012, at Select Specialty Care Facility in Columbus. He was born June 21, 1943, in Ross Co. to the late John R. and Georgia I (Keller) Nichols. On May 24, 1967, he married the former Jean E. Fyffe, who preceded him in death on March 2, 2001. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law Jeremy (April) Nichols, of Chillicothe; grandchildren: Courtney, Dakota, Jeremy A. Nichols; step-granddaughter Tiffany Sykes; brothers Herman Richard (Kay) Nichols; William (Naomi) Nichols; Robert (Dora) Nichols; sisters Audrey (Sesco) Hardesty, all of Chillicothe; and Majel Delong, Circleville; a sister-in-law Noni Nichols, Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by an infant son Paul Everett Nichols; and a brother Emmitt Nichols. Earl was a graduate of Southeastern High School, Class of 1962. He worked as a machinist for Kenworth Truck Co. before retiring in 2006. He was a member of the Richmond Dale Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, December 5, in Londonderry Cemetery with his brother, Pastor Bill Nichols officiating. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8pm at Haller Funeral Home.
