Dylan Ray Allen

Dylan Ray Allen, 32, of Chillicothe, passed from this life on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

He was born January 27, 1994, in Chillicothe, son of Richard and Dawn Sorensen and Brian Allen.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his grandmother, Jeanie Allen; his siblings, Tyler Allen (Brook Fortman) and Tayler (Trevor) Vranicar; and his nephew and niece, Neil and Joanna Vranicar. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Debbie and Steve Newman, Mark and Stephanie Allen, Jason and Sarah Allen; as well as cousins, Emily (Ron) Levy, Lily, Lauren, Vivian, Lucas, and Cecilia Allen, and Kennedy and Nolan Levy; and numerous other cousins and family members. Lifelong friends, Corey Wagner, Noah Valentine, Tyler Watson, Ryan Southern, Noah Adams, and Zach Burden, as well as several other special and lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by grandmother Kay Newlun (Mimi); grandfathers Don Newlun (Grandad) & Mitchell Allen (Papaw), and Marsha Tootle who was a large part of his life.

Dylan was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, class of 2012. Following high school, he completed his degree at Columbus Culinary Institute where he found his passion in the culinary industry. He was an avid lover of the outdoors, enjoying many camping, snowboarding, and hiking trips over the years. He truly found peace being out in the wilderness. He was fiercely compassionate and had a heart that cared deeply for those around him. More than anything else, he was intensely loved by his family and friends.

Friends may join the family for visitation on Monday May 11,2026 at Haller’s Funeral Home from 5:00 - 8:00pm. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday May 12, 2026 at 1:00pm with burial to follow at Grandview Cemetery with Wally Burden officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held afterwards at Fire and Stone Pizza on Paint Street, Chillicothe, at 4:30pm.
