Dustin E. James Sutter, 34, of Taylorsville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday afternoon, October 14, 2022.
He was born on November 3, 1987, in Shelby, Ohio. Surviving are his father and step-mother, Bradly J. (Kathy) Sutter; his mother and step-father, Kelly R. (Joseph) Phelps-Marino; his loving wife, Ashley Day Sutter; two beloved children, Jagger and Alexianna; a step-sister, Jessica Mayer; his grandparents; Kenneth Phelps, Jim (Linda) Sutter, and Carol Sutter; two aunts, Lisa Phelps, and Kim Sutter; an uncle, Shannon Sutter; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gary (Denise) Day; brother-in-law, Matt (Jennifer) Day; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his brother, Brandon Sutter; his grandma, Gloria Phelps; his cousin and best friend, Brittany; an uncle, Kenny Phelps, and his aunt, Karen Phelps.
Dustin was a graduate of Unioto High School, class of 2006. He went on to obtain a two-year degree in plumbing while living in Florida. He was a member of the Spencer Christian Church in Taylorsville, Kentucky, and was a member of the NRA. He was known by family and friends as an avid gun enthusiast, who loved all types of firearms, motorcycles, going shooting, hunting, and watching scary movies with his daughter. Dustin was the type of person who never met a stranger. He had a big heart and a loving smile. When he met his wife Ashley, he was eager to step up to the plate to become Dad to two beautiful children; both of whom he loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, October 21, 2022 at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Martin Officiating. Burial will follow in St. Margaret's Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation from 11:00am until the time of the service on Friday.
