Douglas Ward

Douglas A. Ward, 51, of Chillicothe, died 3:20 am, August 6, 2009 in Riverside Methodist Hospital following a two month illness. He was born October 25, 1957 in Ross Co. to Dwight and Juanita Jenkins Ward. On July 16, 1977 he married Sheila A Penrod, who survives. In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include his daughters , Amanda Ward and Michelle (Craig) Hutchison, both of Chillicothe; five grandchildren, McKenna, Serenity, Brooklyn, Ayden and Audrey; two brothers, Dwight (Bobbie Jo) and Dennis (Liz) Ward; a sister, Darlene Ward; a special uncle, Glenn Ward; and his mother and father-in-law, Larry and Patty Penrod. Mr. Ward was a member of Beavers Chapel. He was a loving husband, father, Pappy and a great role model to many. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday in the Haller Funeral Home, Rev. Roy Carver and Pastor Terry Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Township Cemetery. Friends may call 2-5 pm Sunday at Haller's.
