Douglas L. Jones, Jr., 53, of Abingdon, MD, formerly of Chillicothe, died at 3:45am on December 14, 2010, at the U.C. Medical Center, Chesapeake, MD. He was born January 11, 1957, to Douglas L. Jones, Sr. and the late Sylvia Davis Scott. On September 11, 1992, he married the former Josephine Boydner, who survives. Also surviving are two sons: Nigel Jones, of Columbus, OH; and Johnathon, of Baltimore, MD; two daughters Katana, of Columbus, OH; and Lashell, of Baltimore, MD; five grandchildren; his father and step-mother Douglas L., Sr. and Dorothy "Mom Dot" Jones, of Chillicothe; 4 sisters: Jennifer Jones, of Sui Sun City, CA; Michele Jones, Columbus, OH; Deanna Jones, Chillicothe; and Tracy Jones, Reynoldsburg, OH; two step-sisters Tanya Robinson, of Milwaukee, WI; and Larraiena (Waymon) McNeal, Germantown, WI; one step-brother Larry Joe Robinson, Jr., Chillicothe; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Navy and Sally Jones of Chillicothe; and maternal grandparents Don and Lillian Davis, of Bainbridge, OH. Doug attended Lincoln McKinley High School and the Franklin University, both in Columbus. He served in the US Army from 1974-1977. He was employed as a computer operator at the W.R. Grace Chemical Division, Baltimore, MD. Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm Sunday December 26, at the March Funeral Home-West, 4300 Wabash Ave., Baltimore, MD. Military graveside services will follow in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD. Friends may call from 2:00 until 2:30pm Sunday at the funeral home.
