Douglas Harrington

Douglas A. Harrington, 53, of Chillicothe, died at 9:19am November 2, 2012, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. He was born December 29, 1958, in Cleveland, OH, to the late Richard W., Sr. and Janet S. (March) Harrington. Surviving is his fiancée Marianne Martinez, Chillicothe; his brother, Richard "Rick" (Susan) Harrington II, of Calif.; his "almost daughter" Sarah E. Roark, Hamilton, OH; his best friend Michael Radcliffe, Chillicothe; his friend who gave Doug great support Garnet Keaton; and his canine companion "Rosie." He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Diane L. Vitez. Doug had worked at the VAMC for the past 4 years in the kitchen. He served his country in the US Army and was a member of the AMVETS, Post 4. He loved riding his Harley. He was loved and will be missed by his many friends. He made an indelible impact on everyone that knew him. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm November 19, at the VA Chapel on the VA hospital grounds, Chillicothe. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Haller Funeral Home.
