Douglas B. Crow, 59, of Frankfort, died at 8:03am September 16, 2013, at his residence following an extended illness. He was born September 16, 1954, in McArthur, OH, to Charles W. and Viva "Vi" J. (Ross) Crow. On December 7, 2012, he married the former Virginia C. Fuller, who survives. Also surviving are his son and daughter-in-law Doug (Sheila) Darling, of Frankfort; daughter Tonya Crow and her significant other, Joe Lansing, of Chillicothe; step-daughters Sondra (George) Smathers and Shelly Diehl, all of Frankfort; grandchildren: Ashley, Lydia, Christian, Douglas, Briley, Kay-lynn, Nevaeh, Harley, Dakota, Eric, Aaron and Olivia; his mother Vi Crow, Chillicothe; sister and brother-in-law Susan (Ted) Turner; brothers John Crow; Kent (Gloria) Crow; Keith Crow and his significant other Beth Seigler; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Crow. Doug was a graduate of Chillicothe High School, Class of 1974. He served his country in the US Navy. He worked at the former Mead Paper Co. and retired from Glatfelter in 2012. Doug was a member of Plug Run CCCU; a lifetime member of the AmVets, Post 4; and the Mead Local 731. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Thursday, September 19, at the Plug Run CCCU, 1586 Mingo Rd., with Pastor Dave Marhoover officiating. Military graveside will follow in Twin Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call from 11am until 1pm Thursday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of HALLER FUNERAL HOME.
