Douglas Cousins
June 2, 1934 — January 5, 2020
Douglas Eugene Cousins Sr., a lifelong residence of Chillicothe, Ohio entered into eternal glory the first Sunday of the new year, January 5, 2020 at the ripe age of 85.
Doug, as he was affectionately called, graduated from Chillicothe High School. In March 1953, he joined the US Air Force serving 4 years before being honorably discharged. He retired from The Mead Corporation after working 30+ years.
He married Marjorie "Patty" Cooper, who he referred to as his beautiful wife, and from this 65 year union they had 4 children, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Doug is survived by his wife Marjorie "Patty" Cousins; his children Debra, Kerry, Douglas "Dougger" (Henrietta) Cousins Jr and Joy (Brian) Clymer, as well as his siblings, Ron (Lovada), Skip (Marvene), Mike (Crystal), Kathy (Charlie) Sims, Victor Cousins and Larry (Maryland) Cousins. Preceded in death are his parents, George and Tula Cousins, and a brother, George.
A memorial service will be held at New Life Christian Church, 1033 Dayton Street, on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 am. Flowers may be sent to the church. Military graveside services will be announced at a later date.
