Douglas Baer

Douglas Allen Baer, 61, of Chillicothe, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016, at his residence after a long illness. He was born January 5, 1955 in Chillicothe to the later Chester A. and Betty Conley Baer. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James G. Adams and Claude G. Baer; and a sister, Jenny E. Davis. He is survived by two brothers, Chester A (Marta) Baer and John D. (Joyce) Baer; two sisters Rebecca K. (Bruce) O'Neal and Grace E. Baer; a brother-in-law, Jim Davis; and several nieces; nephews and cousins. Douglas was a graduate of Zane Trace High School and the Ohio State University. Special thanks to his caregivers, Amy Raymond, Jessica Guysinger, Stephanie Slopko, Angela Martin and others. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday at the Haller Funeral Home & Crematory. Friends may call 5-8 pm Monday at Haller's. Private graveside services will be held in Grandview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Haller Funeral Home, 1661 Western Ave., Chillicothe, OH 45601, to help with final expenses.
