Doug Mash

Doug L. Mash, 63, of Chillicothe, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, July 30, 2025 at Chillicothe Post Acute Nursing Home, following an extended illness.



He was born March 24, 1962, in Chillicothe, Ohio, son of the late David L. and Marilyn S. (Strawser) Mash.



Surviving is his son, Chris Mash; sister, Cindy Smith; brother, David (Stephanie) Mash; nieces and nephews, Rachael, Josh, Brian, Mackenzie, Madison, and Parker; 4 great-nieces and great-nephews; beloved special aunt, Susan Tootle; and close friend, David Sommers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Tawnya S. Sparks; and his uncle, Jay Tootle.



Doug was a graduate of Zane Trace High School, class of 1980. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was going hiking, mushroom hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles or dirt bikes. He also loved music, especially the 1970's, collecting many records through the years.



In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public calling hours or services. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made to Heartland Hospice; 116 Morris Rd, Suite B, Circleville, Ohio, 43113.
